# Find Records (smart)

> The primary way to find or list Salesforce records — search, filters, owner, list views, or recently viewed.

`salesforce_find_records_smart`

The default find / list action. Combine any of: an `object`, a full-text `term`, a name substring, exact field filters, an owner, and a date range. DeepMask picks the retrieval route (query, search, recent, or list view) and tells you if it had to drop a filter.

Zero results is a valid answer. Do not repeat the identical call — change filters, then ask the user.

## Parameters

| `term` | string | No | Full-text search across searchable fields (2+ characters). |
| `name_contains` | string | No | Substring of the record's name field. |
| `field_equals` | object | No | Exact matches. Keys are field labels or API names of `object`. |
| `owner` | string | No | `"me"`, a user's name, or a User id (`005…`). |
| `date_field` | `"modified"` \| `"created"` | No | Which timestamp `date_from` / `date_to` apply to. Default: `modified`. |
| `date_from` | string | No | Inclusive lower bound, `YYYY-MM-DD` (UTC day). |
| `date_to` | string | No | Inclusive upper bound, `YYYY-MM-DD` (UTC day). |

## Returns

A table of matching records plus structured rows with ids and `web_url` links. If more pages exist, use `next_cursor` as `cursor`.

When no `object` is given and the request is a text search, DeepMask searches Account, Contact, Opportunity, Lead, and Case.
